about the author
Carolyn Cozart
A life that began with a Lorain birth and a foray into poetry in elementary school.
At various points in life, Carolyn Cozart composed a poem book for the enjoyment of her loved ones. She finished high school in 1984 at Southview High School in Lorain. In high school, she was a member of both the concert and marching bands. She enjoys creating jewelry, crocheting, and painting in her spare time. Before working with the Lorain County Courts, she spent several years in the banking industry. She has been employed by the Lorain County Probate Court since 1998. She has four children: Rob, Tiffany, Andrew, and Sharon. She couldn’t stop thinking about the child she lost after her 1991 miscarriage. In those difficult moments, the poem “Her Precious Little Saint” was a comfort to her. The years 1984 and 2007 marked her marriages. For her ministerial license, she sought approval from Ohio’s Secretary of State in 2015.
